Niagara Falls...

Niagara Falls

137

Last week Greg had to take a business trip to Buffalo so we decided to tag along and visit Niagara Falls...We had a great time...the girls thought it was pretty neat but leave it to Sophie to be more interested in the seagulls and a couple dogs than the falls...she is such an animal lover! Ella enjoyed herself. She was afraid of falling in but I'm sure mommy put the fear into her by yelling every 10 seconds to HANG ON TO MY HAND!! There truly is very little between you and the raging waters so I was a tad nervous to say the least! Here are some cute pics...

Summer fun...

We have been having a great summer so far! Last week Daddy had a golf outing in Massachusetts so we decided to go along for the ride and take the girls to Six Flags for the day. We had a GREAT day at Six Flags...all three little ladies were well behaved and they all had a great time! We then headed back to the hotel to retire for the night since Daddy had to get up early the next day for a long day of golf...

Well the next day did not go as planned...We went to grab breakfast before Daddy had to leave and found the drivers side window of our car smashed in and the contents of our glove compartment were scattered everywhere! Yep...our car had been broken into as well as two cars parked next to us. So to find out they did not steal a thing! This is what we had in the car at the time of the break in: cash (a couple dollars), portable dvd player (2 screens), a book of dvds, and an xm radio! The police officer told us that they were most likely looking for a GPS system...we did not have a GPS system but we did have several maps in the glove compartment...he could of helped himself to one of our maps if he needed some direction! Anyway...Daddy did not end up golfing b/c we had to find a glass company that would fix our window...but at least we had a great day at Six Flags!!! Here are some pics from the day...

Sophie LOVED all the characters...

Mommy's sorry Abbie!

073

We are in Cape Cod right now and having a great time despite not so great weather. I did not plan to post while we were here but I just had to share one story...

Yesterday the weather was pretty bad...cold, lots of rain...and wind! So after some indoor pool time we got some lunch, did some shopping, and then pretty much just drove around until it was time to eat again (what else is there to do besides EAT on a yucky day, right?) So we ended up eating dinner at a local seafood place where Greg and I ate when Sophie was just a baby. So anyway...it is the kind of restaurant where you find your own seat and they will call your number when your order is ready...well we had a great dinner (whole belly clams, yum!)...the girls were well behaved (yay!) and we were getting get ready to leave. By this time it was getting quite busy so people began to eye our table and I spotted an old lady headed our way-I think she claimed our table as soon as I started to wipe the girls clean...anyway at this point I was feeling a tad pressured to hurry up...luckily this older woman did not walk very fast so I had estimated I had about 2 minutes to finish wiping the girls, pack our stuff, and get out of there. I then took Abbie out of the highchair and stood her by our table so Greg could put the highchair back.

As I walked away I felt pretty good...we had a good dinner, gave our seat to the old woman which in return made her happy, and we were ready to leave with the girls to go back to the hotel to relax...all was good as I began to walk out the door, until Greg said, "Where is Abbie?"

OMG...where was ABBIE????

Then I looked back at our table (across the pretty large dining area) and saw my poor little Abbie grasping to the side of the chair where I had placed her as I frantically tried to meet my 2 minute deadline...she was just standing there so unaware of the fact that her mother almost left her there! And then there was the old woman who was just looking at her thinking, "when are they coming back for this kid?" And then there were the other people who were around us that saw us come in as a family of 5 and almost leave as a family of 4...I can't see to shake that image of my poor baby just grasping to a chair at a table where a strange (and not so friendly) old woman was sitting!

oh my poor poor Abbie...I am sorry my dear Abbie, I love you and would of realized you were not with us when I saw your empty carseat...mommy would not of gone far! You have to understand Mommy is just a little forgetful these days...remember last week when we were driving and daddy and I heard a loud thud as we pulled out of Wendys and I quickly realized it was mommys soda on top of the car...I'm not comparing you to a soda and please know I would never put you on top of the car but I'm just trying to explain that mommy is a little out of it these days...yeah it's not a good thing I know but I'm hoping the summer will help mommy return to "normal"

Ok I have to go hold my sweet Abbie now...

Daddy, Thank you for loving me in all the special ways that you do! I know there are times that I may not be so lovable...like when I scream really loud when I get angry...or when I get really whiny...but you are so patient with me and still want to give me hugs and kisses during these times! Thank you for giving me kisses all the time and telling me how pretty I am. Thank you for laying with me in bed when I am scared! I know you are very tall and really don't fit into my bed but you lay with me anyway...I LOVE you Daddy~ LOVE, Sophie

Dear Daddy, Thank you for being the best Daddy ever! Thank you for being there for me in China when I didn't want anything to do with Mommy...I was so scared but felt so safe when I was in your arms...I never wanted you to put me down. I know I have a lot of energy and I thank you for trying to channel all my energy into gymnastics and being there every week to support me! You always tell me how I am blessed with the gift of compassion and someday I will learn what that means and you can guide me on how to use such a gift. I look up to you in so many ways Daddy and I hope I make you proud! Hugs and Kisses, Ella Bella
