yammy and papa had a little 4th of july party at their place this year

its always fun to get together with gregs side of the family
 

 

this may be one of my most favorite pictures.
the littles have such a special bond with their papa
this picture captures that special bond so well

we were able to pick up some sparklers while in PA
the littles thought they were so cool
well they only thought that after the initial fear of a stick on fire subsided :)

last year we visited an adorable little amusement park in the mountains of new hampshire

 

we loved it so much that I couldn't wait to tell the littles that we were going back again this summer

it is one place that she is so confident and it shows

last day of school 2013

 

we finished another year of school
 

my girls are officially 3rd graders!

 

it was a tough year this year

in February we decided to transfer sophie to my school

it was a tough decision but we knew we had to do what was best for sophie

 

she was really struggling in math and very little was being done to help her

i just couldn't sit back any longer and watch my daughter get more and more frustrated

 

well she adjusted like a champ and both girls finished out the year with smiles on their faces

levi turns 3

my little guy is 3

oh this makes my heart ache

i just want to keep my youngest as young as i can for as long as i can!

but i can't

 

i love this little guy so much

he still melts this mommas heart on a daily basis
 

 we started with 1 gift before his sissies had to go to school
 

 

he loved his flashlight friend
(abbie has a thing for infomercials! she will see one and want whatever it is.  well since levi loved abbie's so much i decided to get one of his own) :)

and of course papa called and sang happy birthday!
 

 

then once his sissies came home we celebrated some more
 

 

 

 

momma was so excited to get him this bike!  he would surely love it, right??
 

wrong! :(
as i write (2 months later) he still doesn't ride it.
oh well.
momma tried.
 

then a quick trip to chuck e cheese
 

 

and back home to sing happy birthday!
 

 

 

things i want to remember about you at this age
~ you're still a momma boy
~you're all boy and love all those boy things little boys love
~you will randomly tell momma and daddy that you love us
~you are so rough which is sometimes annoying but i guess that's part of having a boy
~still love your blankies (yes you have 2 now...after we couldn't find your first one momma bought you a new one for a ridiculous price on ebay...only to find your old one several weeks later in your suitcase)
 

oh levi momma loves you so much!
