One more little trip...
We were able to tag along with Daddy on one more little trip before I started school again...so we packed our bags and headed to Mystic, CT. We had a great time at the aquarium and even went to the beach to play in the sand...Yay!!

My two little Kindergartners!!
I can't believe it...my two little girls have entered Kindergarten!!! They had a Meet the Teacher day before their official first day which definitely helped! They both have the sweetest teachers! The girls didn't shed any tears and neither did Mommy...yay! I felt so blessed that I was able to be there for their first few weeks of school (since I am still on maternity!)...of course my sweet little Ella is not so thrilled that her mommy is around so much...On the third day of school she asked if I could just drop her off and not come in...good thing Sophie still needs me! Here are some pics from their first day of school...
Abbie wanted to be part of her sisters big day...please don't pay any attention to the binky in her mouth...
Sophie and her friend from church, Sidney
Coming home!!!
Oh Sophie...where is your jacket? Your pretty red bow? Your SOCKS??
Oh Ella...I wonder how long she went with her KNEE socks rolled down to her ankles!
It looks like the first day of Kindergarten was a success!! I am so happy they were able to experience this big day together!

GREAT parenting advice...
Here is the great parenting advice I promised...
If your child has the cognitive ability to design a Binky chain...the fine motor skills to manipulate the binkies to create the binky chain...coupled with the communication skills which allows her to share her excitement about her binky chain... then your child is WAY too old for a binky!!!
**If anybody wants to offer me some advice on how to take away these binkys without turning the child into a raging monster then by all means pass it on to me and I will pass it on the mother of the beautiful little girl pictured above...**

Labor Day Picnic...
Our village always has a big Labor Day Picnic to wrap up the summer...It is a day filled with a Chicken BBQ, rides, tractors, face painting, fried dough, balloons, and snow cones...and then there are the fireworks which we get to watch while on our porch...as much as I dislike about NY I do LOVE our little village!
See You Next Year, Labor Day Picnic!
