my little girls are officially finished with 1st grade.
i feel they started out so "young and little"
and ended the year so much more "mature".
well ...i use the word "mature" very loosely. :)
ella had a great year.
she quickly became an amazing reader who began to read chapter books early on in the year.
she excelled in all of her subjects and as most things...1st grade came as a breeze for our little smarty pants.
i am so proud of my little ella.
sophie had a great year as well.
sophie had an amazing teacher who is more "old school"in her teaching style...which we loved!
sophie needs somebody who is loving but not afraid to be stern as well.

she struggled with reading in the beginning.
it did not come easy to her.
and with sophie if things don't come easy....well her first thought is to get angry and give up.
this made this momma a little nervous.
but low and behold about mid-year with some good teaching something just "clicked" and my sophie became a READER!
Amen!
and by the end of the year i would catch her doing this
i am so proud of my little sophie.
bring it on 2nd grade...my girls are ready! :)
