big city

the week after school is finished we usually head up to maine for a little vacay while daddy does some work.

however daddy had to do some work in nyc that week so we tagged along for that trip

we didn't actually go into manhattan but we did get to see it from afar.

the littles thought the skyline was pretty cool since one of their favorite movies took place in nyc (home alone 2). :)

we then went to the mets stadium so that daddy could set up for his show the next day.  i stayed in the car with the two littlest littles while sophie and ella went to help daddy. 

we had fun watching all the airplanes

that excitement soon began to plummet so i quickly had to think of something else to do to entertain a 2 and 4 year AND two 6-year olds (they were back with me since apparently they weren't as much "help" as daddy had hoped).

so we decided to have a little photo shoot.

that lasted about 2.4 minutes ....
what else did i have???
i had daddys phone!
that went to the girls so they could listen to some music...
but what about levi?
then i remembered...

ohhhh yes. 
there was a lollipop in the center console.

i plopped that cranky baby in my lap.

slapped on a bib.

took out a wipe

and let him go to town.

would i win a parenting award for that one?

probably not...but i did have a quiet child! :)

once daddy was done we all buckled and looked forward to our short drive (14 miles to be exact) back to the hotel so we could go get some dinner and enjoy the rest of our night.

2 hours later we pulled into the hotel parking lot.

i won't even begin to tell you about that drive back to the hotel.

overall though we had a great time with daddy

and i was sooo very thankful to go back to small town living!
