lucky charms

This cereal has been banned from our house for the past several years due to the fact that certain little girls would become magically full right after they ate the last little marshmallow from their bowl...

 leaving a bowlful of lonely frosted oats on the breakfast table

day after day.

the two oldest even convinced me to put their left over frosted oats in a plastic baggie and they would snack on them later...

yeah right.

well seeing that i am a believer that each child is different i decided to bring this cereal back into the home to give my littlest little an opportunity to enjoy yummy marshmallows and  frosted oats.  besides he's only 1...he wouldn't know to pick out the marshmallows first, right?

well it took this little guy approximately 30 seconds before he was doing this

and after two consecutive days of bowlfuls of lonely frosted oats left on a highchair tray

 mommy has once again banned lucky charms from the house. 

memorial day 2012

i really can't believe how quickly time passes

i feel like just a month ago i was posting about memorial day 2011

my oh my.

this year (as we have done for every other year for the past 4 years) we started out the day going to the little memorial parade in town. 

i feel like this picture should be on sesame street when you need to pick out which one doesn't belong.
can you guess which one woke up on the wrong side of her toddler bed? 

daddy decided to run up and down the driveway while pulling the wagon

he definitely scored some fun daddy points doing that!

on our way down to the village. 
not sure how ella got behind. 
she is the fasted one in the house.

mommy is right behind you little guy...don't worry.

a grand reunion after not seeing one another for days one day.

then we came back and did some swimming.
not sure what momma was thinking...
i totally let levi go down the slide into the water without holding my hand.
ella (who is wise beyond her years) quickly grabbed his hand before letting him go under.

one of my all time fave's of my little abbie.

overall i would say it was a great day. 

 

and of course we thank those servicemen who have given their lives to protect our county.
talk about sacrifice.

the two littlest littles party

we once again combined abbie and levi's party because quite frankly we might as well do it while we can.

i know there will come a time that levi will not allow a pink pony pinata at his party. 

it was a gorgeous day and everything went so well.

i heard that levi started licking the soda cans.

i let abbie pick out a pinata for her party. 
she talked about this pinata for days!

abbie told me over and over she wanted a strawberry cake with strawberry frosting...
so that's one momma made her.

once the guests left this green soda tub became the after party. 
seriously the littles just loved it.

then they started to make this. 
kind of gross. :)

overall i would say the party was wonderful and a good time was had by all (i hope!).
