cute little ears

my little sweet pea got her ears pierced!

still can't believe it.

it was something i was never going to push but the other day at the mall sophie started talking to abbie about getting it done...

i dismissed their whole conversation because i really never thought abbie would ever go through with it. 

well about 10 minutes later abbie was sitting on my lap gettting her ears pierced

there were some tears but then the tears went away and the happiness set in. 

i caught her several times putting her hair behind her ear and trying to make eye contact with people so they would notice her new earrings.

big teeth

nothing is cuter than a little without any front teeth.

so the other day when we were all just hanging out in the yard on a gorgeous day i had to grab my camera to capture the cuteness of my dear little sophie

and the sillyness

because before you know it there will be some very big teeth taking the place of that cute little gap and for now i just to r
emember the gap...
a reminder of her youngness....
because nothing screams growing up like big front teeth.

the other day we were watching toy story 2 and it was the part that jesse's owner had packed away all of her toys because she was growing up. 
sophie very innocently asked me why was she packing away all of her toys? 
she could not figure out why anybody would ever pack away their toys. 
it made me sad.
because i knew one day sophie would be packing up all of her beloved toys. the toys she plays with every single day.
and she had no idea. 
little conversations like that really help me to remember to focus on treasuring the time i have with my littles while they are little. 

because before long they will be all grown up
with big teeth. 

mommas little princess

abbie has been going through a phase of dressing up like a princess. 
it makes no difference to her what she is wearing underneath...or what activity she is doing in her princess dress. 
as long as she is wearing it she is happy.

and of course she shares of love of princesses with
her best friend kennie...

and she shares her love of princesses with her little brother...

good thing daddy does not read my blog. he would be so embarressed for his little man.

she even can play sports as a princess!

Ella's big news

ella finally lost her first tooth.

woohoo.

to say she was getting a little frustrated that sophie was losing teeth left and right and her own weren't even loose is an understatement

she kept asking me me when she was going to lose her tooth and all i could say was soon ellie. 
be patient.

she even started to pop out her adult teeth behind her baby teeth.

talk about creepy. 
apparently they call this shark teeth.  for obvious reasons. :)

then it finally happened. 

she was so excited.

mommy was too. :)

some snow...finally.

we finally had a snow "storm" that produced enough snow for the littles to go outside and play. 
they had a great time. 

especially levi. 

he loved it.
which i didn't reallyeexpect since my other littles hated the snow at this age.

while outside we...

 made snow angels.

made our annual whitacre family snow man.

tried to sled down a little mole hill. :)

made snow castles

found a disgusting worm slithering across the snow. 
still can't figure of what an earthworm was doing outside in the snow...do you know?

all in all we had a good time playing outside in the snow.
and we can now officially check it off our winter to do list. :)

 

oh my little man

oh levi. 

i said it once...and i'll say it again.

this little guy has captured this mommas heart in such a way that words can not describe.

no i do not love him more than the girls (obviously) but something is just "different" with a little boy.

he has wiggled his way right into this tiny spot in mommas heart that i didn't know even existed.

yes he's a mommas boy.

so what.

i can't help that he loves his momma! ;)

here are just a handful of things i love about my little guy at the moment

i love that he tries to keep up with his big sissies and has picked up their love of art.

i love that he will put on anybodys shoes and walk around the house in them.

he needs a little help when trying to walk in mommas heels.

i looove his feet.  i seriously could eat these little toes one by one!  it makes me sad to think one day these adorable lil feet will be stinky man feet. :)

i love that he loves to play with his sissies and cousin...

i love that after breakfast and before momma has a chance to clean up you can always find levi scurrying around trying to quick eat everybodys scraps. 

i love that he is a picture crasher...he always takes it upon himself to join the picture even when he's not invited. :)

i love that he makes up cute lil games

and i love that he lets his sissy join in. 

i love that he loves bath time.  everyday after dinner he will always tell me "bath".  and i love that he can still fit in the sink (barely) so momma doesn't have to go all the way upstairs!

i love that i will often find him on the top of the table...ok this is a tad annoying (and dangerous ofcourse)...but i do love his guilty look!

i love that he is a product of having three sissies (daddy really does not love this so much.)

and last but not least i looove the bond between these two lil sweeties.  abbie is quite the stinker and i have to say when she is having a fit she is having an all.out.fit.  the one person who can get her out of this stink is her lil brother.  he will come and give her a hug and her stinkiness just melts away and she is able to carry on...i have to tell you it melts my heart to see this. 

oh how i love my levi (and my other little too!).

Where is the snow?

I really can't believe that we live in upstate NY and this is the amount of snow the littles have to play with.

now don't get me wrong...i really don't care for the snow but come on...this dirty little snow pile is just so...
