indian summer

this fall has been a little disappointing with the weather

so when we finally had one day of beautiful weather we had to take advantage!
 

we loaded up the wagon

 

 

 

 

gathered our cornstalks

 

and headed to the front of the house to do some decorating!~

levi decided that he was going to throw some leaves into the bushes for decoration

good thing daddy wasnt outside to see that.
i think he would of been annoyed. :)

 

and here was our finished project! :)

after decorating i decided to get some pics of my favorite little guy (his daddy is my favorite big guy!) :)

then he had enough of the pics and decided to go pick up dirty tree things.
 

 

and put the dirty tree things in his wagon.
he's such a boy! :)

we ended the day with loving on our little dog who rarely gets the attention he thinks he deserves!

i heart field hockey!

i will be honest.

when the girls signed up for field hockey last year i was a little annoyed

first of all they were 5 years old and they were practicing 2 days a week with a 4-hour tournament on saturdays

really??

 

well as the season went on last year i started to get hooked.

these girls at 5-6 years old were really good!

 

so when field hockey season started this fall i was so excited!

sophie decided not to play b/c well to put it her words,
"i hate field hockey!"
bless her soul but field hockey was not her gift. 

but ella on the other hand loves field hockey and is actually quite good!

 

ella has such a drive in all she does and it definitely comes out on the field!

you have to see this kid!

it's amazing!

 

i imagine sitting in the stands when she is a sr. playing for the state championship!~

it's not a far off dream considering our hs team just won states for the 2nd time.

 

i never thought i would say this but...

I heart field hockey! :)

this year i decided to bite the bullet and have the girls party at chuck e cheese.

so happy i did!

they really do take care of it all...which i love!

the girls had a great time

watching them with their friends is just the cutest thing.

they just loved these hats that they got from one their friends.
ella actually wore hers to bed that night!

i love the bond these two have.
being the same age they are going through life together and i love that
so many memories
so many happy times
so many bad times too but that's all part of the journey!~
mommy hearts her two 7-year olds!



Happy 7th Birthday, sophie!

my sweet little sophie has turned 7!

i still can't believe it.

what happened to my little baby?

 

we started the day with birthday doughnuts and one present.

 

 

 

breyer horses. :)

she quickly talked me into unwrapping another. 
i am so weak!

 

 

then we were off to morning program.

 

 
and then quickly came home to make her birthday cupcakes. :)

after school she came into the living room to a big surprise.
 

a new bike!
she had definitely outgrown her little barbie bike.
this bike is so sophie.
 

pay no attention to the dog staring into the camera. :)
 

 

after presents she was off to test drive her new bike.
 

 

and then  time for cupcakes.

 

 

well there are some things i want to remember at this age and some i would rather just forget. :)

 but that comes with having a 7 year old so i will just list everything! :)

-still loves horses!

-loves to play and will play with anything...loves toys and her knock-off  "American Girl" doll

-has started to roll her eyes...just as annoying as it was for my mom i am sure. :)

-still loves to snuggle

-would love to be held but sadly she is too big to be held anymore...this truly makes me sad. :(

-has a huge issue with jealousy.  can be sweet as pie in the morning until a sibling wakes up and then she gets so angry. this also makes me sad...

-loves stuffed animals...would pick a stuffed animal over an electronic any day!
-she will no longer wear bows..sniff, sniff.  she will wear headbands but the bows are a thing of the past.
 

 

we love you so much, sophie hope!
